Loves me, loves me not...

Today I have been playing with Molly from my new DT sheet from sweet pea stamps. Molly seems to have a crush on someone and wants to know if he loves her back :D I've been very excited to start colouring her ever since she dropped in my mailbox. I used my new papers and ribbon I got today. One of my local shops that closed a while ago re-opened today and had a 20% off the whole shop. I didn't get much, just some papers and ribbons. I got a tip on how to adhere the ribbons so I picked up some more ribbons. And it worked! Here's my first try on the ribbon with the tape and I'm inheaven. FINALLY it looks professional!

The card is made following a sketch from the sketch saturday challenge blog and the image is coloured with promarkers as always.

I made a bow from the ribbon I used. I used to use a glue, but even though it was supposed to dry clear it left shades on the ribbon. Instead I used the double sided tape I got today. I tried that before, but I did it with broad tape that I cut myself. It always got crooked and didn't work properly. Now I have a thin tape and it's even supposed to work on organza ribbons! It was so much fun working with the ribbon that I think I have found my new favourite embellishment. If you've never tried it you should. Don't be scared of trying, just get yourself a good narrow doublesided tape. THAT'S the secret.

Stamps: Molly and sentiment from sweet pea stamps
Promarkers: ivory, primrose, pastel yellow, forest green, pastel green, turquoise, pastel pink and an old pantone - warm red T (for the flowers)
Papers: making memories, "flower patch"

Here are the wonderful things I got today. Mostly cardstock and ribbons, but also a cute owl stamp, the ribbon tape, some magnetic closings that I will use for my purses and some patterned papers. I got two pretty expensive but oh so irresistable papers.

Both are from die cuts with a view. I know just how I'm going to use this one. Just need a certain stamp...It's called "woodland animals".

This one has glitter on all the details. SOOOO yummy!!! I would like to use it with some house mouse stamp. Think it would look beautifully. It's called "kitchen tea party gltr".
