Blogcandy giftbox

I'm finally back with another sweetpea stamps project. I made a giftbox filled with a non-fat candy. The images I have used are spring night (left) and Moonlight siren, both by ching-chou kuik. I masked the images and coloured with my promarkers.

The box is supereasy to make: a piece of patterned paper about 12x30cm and then one matching piece about 12x8 for the flap. The candy is in a see-through bag and attached with tape and staples.

This time I have played along with:

ABC - b is for blue
Charismacardz - die cuts
Colour create - ivory, duck egg and one more colour
Crafty creations - butterflies (there are 2 butterflies sitting on the mermaids)
I love promarkers - the seaside
Pixie cottage - anything but a card
Simon says stamp - make a gift
Stampin for the weekend - anything goes
Stamptacular sunday - 2 images

I really wanted to play with pile it on because they had a very fun recipe challenge. The only thing I needed extra was the 7 buttons and the last patterned paper (I cut out the text from a PP). I haven't decided if I like it better with the buttons and the text or not. I think the buttons make it a bit interesting, but they also take away from the images. Maybe it looks too cluttered - what do you think?
