Follow you dreams...to Paris

In case you had a doubt: I just LOVE the eiffel tower stamp from plate #6 from sweet pea stamps. I also managed to ask Lynette for this set with sentiments in my DT package. I think it's a brilliant set! I haven't seen sentiments like this anywhere else. You get so many different ones for a very low price, especially with the "buy one get one for free" deal that is on now in the shop. You have to check it out. The texts are perfect for those square 6x6" cards. That's the size of my card below.



I stamped my image with versamark ink and rubbed different chalks on it. Then I edged it with a gold pen and layered on a red panel. I stamped the sentiment directly on a red card with versamark and sprinkled gold embossing powder on top. The reason I used versamark and not a goldpad is because in case it gets wrong it doesn't show. I can just heat the ink (so it dries) and stamp again. That way the embossingpowder doesn't get stuck to the first stamping.

It's such a simple yet elegant card. I love this stamp and think it's sooo versatile. I have some more ideas for it, but for that I need a special Tilda...Those Magnolia stamps are really sticking to me :D I never would've thought. Hope you've enjoyed it :)


I made this card for a sketch challenge called sketch and stash. You need to use your new stash and the new things I've used for this card is the sentiment stamp and the red/brown glittery brad I purchased on a sale last week. Oh, and the papers are new too.

Tilda in 3-D

I have made a 3-D card for the just Magnolia too challenge blog. This was a very interesting challenge so I had to give it a go. The prize wasn't too shabby and I love a chance to win something ;) I've been working on this card for days and realized that the deadline was today (actually in about an hour) so I'm glad I finished it. Phew.

The 3-D work I did was 3-D tape on Tilda (there is the whole image, an extra dimension to her lower body and head and finally an extra is her bandana and kneepart) I also applied dimensional medium to the flower that is by her side. I thought that cutting the flower out like that and not glueing it stuck was brilliant (she said modestly, lol).



I used an amazing sketch from everybody art challenge that I just fell inlove with. I mirrored it. I even used the tiny little hearts showed on the sketch. Speaking of hearts: that's the theme for diecut dreams. Well, actually it's "hearts and flowers" but I already have flowers from the papers. I also did some stitching and added the cute buttons with thread through them for this week's theme at the creative inspirations challenge. And if that wasn't enough I managed to fit the theme at just Magnolia too. Their theme was "ribbons and bows". Oh, and finally there was a friendship theme at cinspirations this week. The little pink square in the corner of the card says "special". It's a part of one of the the cuttlebug embossing folders. That's it, lol. I've been quite busy today. Two cards and one more on the way :)

Mistletoe pooch

A lot of Christmas going around in blogland. Today is actually exactly 4 months until Christmas. Are you panicking yet? LOL

I made a Christmas card with this adorable poochie for this week's creative card crew challenge.

The Christmas theme is also on the Simon says stamp challenge blog. I'm entering their challenge with this card too.

I also used a sketch from this week's friday sketchers challenge. It was harder than I thought since I've been tired today. I used the same papers as for the last poochie card from this line. I'm thinking about making a set of 4-5 cards and listing it on etsy.

I turned this sketch upside down...

...so it looks like there is a wreath hanging above him. I've been getting better at using my leaf dies too.

Promarkers used: berry red, emerald and cinnamon. Gold glitter brad in the middleflower, the others have glitterglue on them. Poochie has dimensional medium on his nose.

Foxy foxes

Here's my entry to the sugarbowl blog this week. I have turned the sketch they had upside down and made my own flowers from two different punches and different cardstock. I usually follow sketches exactly as not to get disqualified, but this time I just had to use the quickutz fox instead of the two panels. I actually bought this die for this stamp only, lol. I don't have any sugarnellie stamps yet, I got this image from a friend and it's on top of my wishlist :) I must say though that I always thought the fox was hiding behind the girl. Now that I coloured them in I see that he is quite thin and sitting next to her instead. I still feel like he's hiding behind her and have a hard time seeing it differently, lol.


It's a quite simple card using three different coordinating patterned papers. The papers are so beautiful though that I feel like they lift up the whole look. The little flowers on the left panel are glitterembossed and the background paper has clearembossed details. Just stunning! A great card for autumn, don't you think?

Promarkers used: umber, burnt umber, henna, ruby, berry red, saffron and pastel pink. I added glitter stickles in the middle of the flowers and on the girl's buttons.

If friends were flowers...

Today I finished a card for a couple of challenges. The card is in a distress/vintage style that isn't really "me". I'm trying to develop that style though and I think I'm getting better and better at it.

I used a sketch from the Besic Grey challenges. Did you know they are back again? They disappeared for a while and now they're back - better than ever! This is the sketch they have for challenge number 1. I thought it was wonderful so I used it. But Imust admit I had a hard time cramming every detail in there, lol. I couldn't make the tag with the text so I had to make it a little plaque instead.

In order to join the challenge you need to use at least one item from Basic Grey. I used patterned papers that I had bought on a sale. They are called Wassail and I love that vintage look!

I decided to join just magnolia's challenge this week too by using a Magnolia image and the theme for this week: "friendship". I thought the papers and image worked beautifully together as did the text: "If friends were flowers I would pick you".

Finally lili of the valley have a challenge where you need to use charms. I went through my jewelry stash and although I mostly work with silver coloured metal I did find some bronze/golden chain and the butterfly. The butterfly hangs loose on the chain but I'm thinking about glueing it to the middle of the ribbon. Can't decide :)

Promarkers used: coral, ruby, saffron, marsh green, pastel yellow and primrose. Hair coloured with an old pantone pen, similar to promarker's sandstone. The outer flower is a white one coloured with marsh green to match the image exactly. I also used my square nesties and CB embossing folder.

Vintage Paris bookmark

One of my absolute fav stampsheets from sweet pea stamps is the Paris - plate 6 (that is on sale by the way for only $5.63.)
I've been wanting to play with it ever since I got them last week and today I finally felt creative enough to do something with it.


I decided to make a tag/bookmark - getting inspired by Tim Holtz's Christmas tags. I finally got to use my alcohol inks that I bought ages ago. I think I have the wrong tools for them and that's why they haven't been working properly. The felt I have is too thin and the paper too porous.


I started by cutting out a piece of shrink plastic in my cuttlebug. I used one of my big tags. After that I inked the big Paris stamp with black staz-on ink, right side up I put on the shrink plastic and rubbed a little to get ink all over the tag. After the ink dried I turned it over and on the BACKSIDE I inked it with alcohol inks. I used butterscoth, cranberry and eggplant. Then I heated it so it shrunk and after it cooled down I coloured the edges with a goldpen.

The big tag is coloured using the same inks, blotted around at random. After I coloured it I stamped the big Paris stamp over it with staz-on ink and edged with the goldpen. Finally I found a coordinating fiber and attached the small tag to the big one. Voilá - we have a fabulous bookmark!


I made this bookmark for the Simon says stamp challenge - "anything but a card" and for stampin for the weekend. Their theme was "days gone by". I think this tag has that Vintage romantic look.

I hope you liked what I did today. I think even T!m would've been proud :)

Which witch? The cute Halloween one?

I'm on a roll today, lol. I'm having so much fun making cards. So many ideas...I love it!

Ok, so I know it's a bit early for Halloweencards, but I got so inspired from the latest stampsheet from my DT kit from sweetpea stamps. I'm so happy to be on the team. I never thought the stamps would be so easy to work with and so inspiring!

I've made this card using a sketch from the Charisma cardz blog.


I've used the girl from the latest stampsheet from sweetpea stamps, the Halloween sheet. It's only $6 if you preorder it by 15:th (so you need to hurry). Original price is $12 so it's a good price too I think since you get so many stamps and texts.



This card almost made itself. I just had these two Halloween papers. It suited the stamp perfectly since one of the texts were: cute little witches. Perfect! We don't really send cards to eachother on Halloween here in Sweden so I don't buy many of those papers. I had a hunch earlier this year though that I might want to make a Halloween card or two. I'm glad I was right! I coloured the image yesterday before going to bed and put it together today in maybe 1 hour (that's fast in my book ;)

I used my promarkers again to colour the girl: ivory, lilac, pumpkin, warm grey2 and lime green. I embossed the orange panel with one of my CB folders. It's supposed to be branches of some sort, but I think it might pass as spiderweb. Now I regret not buying that pumpkin embossing folder earlier...Grrr...
