I managed to get picked for some blogcandy out of 136 people!!! Wohoooo! I won a sheet of chocolatestamps. I'm so excited to use them, will be wonderful for Valentine's, can't wait to get them :) Yey! I got pi-icked, I got pi-icked, la la la la, I'm so happy...Now I should really stop complaining if I don't win other stuff, lol.
Pic is taken from Michele's blog. She's the one that offered the candy.
Yesterday I told you about sheetload of cards and their blog. They had this instruction on how to make your own minimag holder. It seemed so easy so I had to try it. The pattern was printable, so I just put in a piece of paper, printed it out, scored, cut, decorated, glued and voliá! So adorable. I'm definately going to make more. The only problem I had was what to use them for since they are so tiny? My fiancée suggested ATC's. That is brilliant! So the other picture is showing my ATC's. Now you see how tiny the holder is! What else could you use it for other than ATC's? On the blog they made 3x3" cards, but I didn't want to do that. Any suggestions?
Mostly about stamping, but also upcycling, sewing, crocheting scrapbooking, jewelrymaking and everything in between. Check out my youtube channel at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdJ2kY0OVsAl3xY93T4TaZg

SheetLoad's Blog Candy Blow Out
Sheetload of cards is offering this as their blogcandy! Doesn't it just make your mouth water? Or maybe I should say: make your fingers long for ink? ;)
Go to this post to read all about the candy and enter yourself.
Good luck!
Make sure to visit their blog. They have some nice posts there. I just found a great tutorial about how you make your own mini magazine holder. Step by step instructions with pictures. Sure worth to take a look.

Blog candy ending soon
There is still time to enter some wonderful blogcandy. Santa seems to be early this year, at least for the ones that get picked :)
Chrissy is celebrating 50,000 hits and her blogoversary at the same time. Check out what she's offering and how you can win it.
Fran is also celbrating her blogoversary and has had over 55,000 hits. That's great!

Cathy is celebrating over 10,000 hits. Way to go, I hope I'll get there some day too :)
Nikki is having an awesome candy too. If you enter and win you have to have a candy of your own. I think it's a great idea and would love to offer some candy myself. Let's see if I'm lucky :)
Pink gem designs is offering two of their stamps as blogcandy. Their style is cute stamps, like Magnolias, perfect for colouring. Please visit their blog to get more info about how to get your mittens on some of these cuties.
Cesilie is offering some great candy too. Deadline is soooon, so hurry!!!
Vicky is celebrating her birthday and the fact that she has reached nearly 5,000 hits. Congratulations Vicky! Visit her blog and sign up for her yummy candy.
Jaimy is celebrating her and her husband's 7:th anniversary. Congratulations! She has some albums and will add more stuff. How great is that!?
Fiona (what a beautiful name) is giving away some supplies like pens, papers and ribbons. So beautiful!
Renata has been celebrating her birthday 11/11 (and she's born in '66). She will add you 3 times in the hat if you send her a birthday card!
Deena has some candy and she promises it won't rot your teeth :D Check it out, it involves stamps, papers and other yummies (is that a word?!)
With all of this talk about blogcandy I'm starting to want to offer some too. But I don't have anything to celebrate yet and I don't have enough readers yet, or do I?
Hello, anyone out there, should I have some blogcandy to offer you?

Sketch challenge and DT call
Phew, it's been a looong day and now a massive headache, so I'll keep it short. I've made a card for a sketch challenge. I've been very happy with the coloring of this image so I've decided to use it for a DT call aswell. I think the card represents my style too: I like making my own backgrounds with matching stamps and embossing powders. Here I also managed to use some dryembossing to make the border and I like using tags. I will have to try to take a better photo because the scanner sucks! I've used green and pink blingcardstock and it looks so weird. Hopefully a better pic will come tomorrow.

One layer of cardstock
This was very fun, although a bit hard. Just one layer of cardstock, how is that for a challenge?! I think everyone should try it, especially those of you who use a lot of patterned papers, layers and colored images.
In the beginning I wanted to do some masking, but then I saw another card using the same idea and layout I had, so I didn't want it to look like I copied it. Then I started thinking and dryembossing came to mind. Sooo... I continued on that idea and here's the result. Unfortunately I couldn't get any good photos of the card. This one is the best (or should I say the least bad :)
Ok, so I stamped the snowman (Darcie's set) on a white card and colored it in. Using fiskars snowflake textureplate I dryembossed some snowflakes here and there around the snowman. I made a dryembossed border using the edge of a brass template. Then I stamped the text (happy freezin' season, from the same Darcie's set) Finally I versamarked the embossed snowflakes and rubbed them with pink and blue shimmerchalk. I also added some glitter on the snowman's snowflakes (the ones on his head).
It's such a shame that you can't see the card better :( I'm very happy with the result. I think trying these different ideas is what makes my style. They don't always turn out great, but they usually give me new ideas. I just used the dryembossed border for another card, so the challenge did what it was supposed to: develop me as a cardmaker.
I also have some blogcandy alert for those of you who are interested (and who isn't, right?)
First we have Desiree that's celebrating 15,000 hits on her blog.
Then Ann is giving away some fabulous Christmas candy, just in time for the cardmaking season. Go to her blog to find out how you can enter the draw.

Inka stamps sale! 40% off
Thought I'd be nice and let you all know that Inkastamps has a 40% sale for the entire month of november. She is having it to celebrate her newest DT member Jen. You can receive a 40% by putting "Jen" in the message to seller box when ordering. This does exclude items already on sale, grab bags and items on the found items page.
Isn't this just great?! I made quite a big order a while ago, but I'm still thinking about adding to my collection. The stamps are already resonably priced (not to mention gorgeous of course) and this way it makes them almost free, lol.
If you're into collage you should check it out. Right now I'm into coloring images and playing with patterned paper, but I would like to develop my collage and altering skills. Here are some cards I made with her stamps.

Design team call - heeeeeelp!
One of my new scrapshops is looking for a DT member, but I'm so nervous I don't know what to do! You are supposed to send in 4 cards that show your style and one of them has to be new. I don't even know what my style is, since I like to try out new things all the time. I usually try one style until I get bored and then move on to the next, so it's really hard for me to pinpoint what that is. I'm so freaked out since the deadline is on friday.
I have one card ready that I think is my style:
I like trying out cards using folds and advanced techniques, like the waterfallcard or diamondfold. I really want to wow them, but at the same time I don't want to blow them away too much so they have these great expectations that I won't be able to live up to later on.
Whaaaaa, I don't know what to send!!! HELP! HELP! HELP!

Dachshund Rescue - help with a click
Do NOT click the banner to go to the site. Use this link:
drna.org - dachshundrescue
There is this shelter that I've been helping now and then and it seems like they are in need of help again. The thing that's at stake is a grant of $25,000 that they can win if they get the most votes on theanimalrescuesite.com. This is my way of helping them earn the big bucks. I really hope you will too :)
What you need to do is to go to the shelter challenge and vote for the Dachshund rescue. When you get to the page there is a purple box where you can search for shelters. You write in this info:
Dachshund Rescue of North America
Pittsburgh, PA
and click search. You then get the rescueshelter's name and press "vote".
IMPORTANT! You have to answer the following question or the vote won't count, so make sure to do that!
It's not hard to do and won't take much of your time (although my description might have made it seem complicated, lol) You can vote once a day and it goes on until december 14:th. Please, take a minute of your time to help these doggies. Think of it as your Christmasgift to them.
Actually, every Christmas me and my fiancée choose one charity each and give them a small amount of money that we would have spent on gifts for eachother. It's our way of helping and we're glad to give up one of our gifts to be able to help others. Why not try to do the same this year? You don't have to give away a fortune, every little thing helps.

Sketch challenge with reindeer
I managed to buy a rare stamp from Tradera (Swedish kind of e-bay). The image is of three reindeers and the one on the card is one of them. The person making that stamp is the same woman that designs for Stämpelgården and makes those adorable reindeers I like so much.
Anyhow, I wanted to use a small image for this sketch challenge so the card wouldn't get way too big (this one is normal size). The reindeer is colored and flocked and I used the bulbs from a PB set, stamped and cut out. The blue paper is embossed with bulbs on my CB. The text is also from a clear PB set.
Don't know if it turned out that great, would've been better for a 4:th of july card, but I'm very happy with the ideas.

Pretty good deal
I came across this site that seems great. Here's what they say about themselves:
Peachycheap.com is an online store that sells one scrapbook product at a time at an awesome price.
Here’s how it works:
· Peachy Cheap sells one deal per day until it is gone.
· Everything is discounted up to 99% off retail price so they sell out fast.
· Act fast or you will miss out, once they are gone, they are gone.
· Shipping is always $4.99 and ships within 2-3 business days.
go to peachycheap
I'd love to shop from them, but unfortunately they don't ship abroad :( Thought I'd spread the word though so those of you in the US can enjoy it. I will have to settle with drooling over the daily deals :)

"New" stampcompany
I have found the most adorable little piggie ever! It's from a Norwegian company called papilio. You can buy their stamps here (it was not easy to find might I add). Among cute babies and girls/boys they had this piggie and a bench that I think would work great with all of those Magnolia stamps (that I know a lot of you love). Here is the piggie and the bench, taken from their webpage. Isn't it adorable?!
They have a good selection of other stampcompanies like Whipper snapper, Sarah Kay, Stampendous, Inke boutique, Magnolia etc. The page is in Norwegian.

Elinas hobby blog
I have found a great blog where this woman is making different craft things. She's making different things, like macaroniangels and knitted mice (so cute!) She also has a bunch of candy to give away. So pop over and see if you can be lucky. I know I will :)
