September blogcandy/giveaway

I'm back with more giveaways. Lately I've been spending some time looking for lots of candy and look what I found for you!

I've also been contacted by the givaway scout if I'd like my blog to be on their list. What they do is they search the internet for giveaways and present them to you, both on the web and by newsletter if you'd prefer that. They have different categories you can look through and the sire is updated once daily. You get it all served on a silverplatter. Great, huh? So if you want to get more (or different) candies make sure to visit their site. I've also placed their widget on my sidebar under my candylist so you will find it easily. I'm off checking it out.

(PS. If you're wondering why I have pics under some names and some without, it's because whenever I find a giveaway I put it on this list; by date and alphabetically. When I enter that person's candy I add a photo so I know which ones I've entered. Some names have (or will have) a * in front of them. Those are the candies that I've checked to see if I won or not. So basically this is for me to keep track of. I think this way of spreading the word is very good because it saves me a lot of time and doesn't clutter the sidebar with old giveaways. You can find a direct link to this candy by checking the sidebar - "september" under blogcandy. If you have found any other craftcandy that's not on the list, please let me know, by e-mail or by commenting under this post. Thank you.

All you have to do now is click the names and you will be taken directly to that person's candypost. Enjoy!)

Great contest and giveaway

EDIT: Since we've had so few entries to this contest all the DT members will be having some kind of clue on their blog. It can be a part of the photo shown in an old post (most likely an old sweetpea project, HINT: use the labels list on the sidebar), a hint about something you're doing, wearing etc. Here's my hint:

"To-day do I bake, to-morrow I brew,
The day after that the queen's child comes in;
And oh! I am glad that nobody knew
That the name I am called is Rumpelstiltskin!"

Hope it's not too hard. Hop over to the sweetpea blog where you will find links to the other DT member's blogs. You have until sept 1:st to join. This is your chance to get some extra sweetpea rubba, so what are you waiting for?

There is a very funny contest going on at the sweetpea blog at the moment. What you have to do is correctly match the design team members with their baby pictures and email your guesses to: sweetpeachallengesu@yahoo.com before sept 1:st.  On September 2, 2010 all correct entries will be included in a drawing and one lucky person will receive a sheet of sweetpea's wonderful images!

Sspeaking of sweetpea:  there are some wonderful new stamps coming up.
First, a slightly different style from Elaine Cox:

And then another sheet from ching chou kuik:

Now is a perfect time to get your sweetpea images: Lyneete is offering free shipping within US for orders over $25(valid through august 30:th)
International customers only pay $4.95.

Blogcandy giftbox

I'm finally back with another sweetpea stamps project. I made a giftbox filled with a non-fat candy. The images I have used are spring night (left) and Moonlight siren, both by ching-chou kuik. I masked the images and coloured with my promarkers.

The box is supereasy to make: a piece of patterned paper about 12x30cm and then one matching piece about 12x8 for the flap. The candy is in a see-through bag and attached with tape and staples.

This time I have played along with:

ABC - b is for blue
Charismacardz - die cuts
Colour create - ivory, duck egg and one more colour
Crafty creations - butterflies (there are 2 butterflies sitting on the mermaids)
I love promarkers - the seaside
Pixie cottage - anything but a card
Simon says stamp - make a gift
Stampin for the weekend - anything goes
Stamptacular sunday - 2 images

I really wanted to play with pile it on because they had a very fun recipe challenge. The only thing I needed extra was the 7 buttons and the last patterned paper (I cut out the text from a PP). I haven't decided if I like it better with the buttons and the text or not. I think the buttons make it a bit interesting, but they also take away from the images. Maybe it looks too cluttered - what do you think?
