Doxie woof

Dachshunds are my absolute fav breed of dogs. I had one growing up and she was my best friend. I was devestaded when she died and haven't had a dog since.
I've been looking for a doxie stamp for years that shows off the breed's personality. I hadn't found one until the other week. This is a stamp drawn by a woman that makes the stamps herself. She sells them on Tradera which is Sweden's equivalent to ebay. When I saw this stamp I just had to have it. Unfortunately I missed the auction and somebody else got the stamp. Eeeeek! But I contacted the woman and she had one left. Phew. I grabbed it before she could change her mind, lol. I'm never letting this little stamp go, that's for sure. Isn't she the cutest thing you've ever seen?

I made this card using a sketch from the midnight madness challenge blog that I rotated. I'm always missing this challenge, but now I have added it to my challenge list so hopefully I'll join more often. I used a calender die from quickutz to mount the image on. The tab works as an embellishment and I wrote "woof" on it. Thought it was quite clever. I also added a boneclip and pawprint decoration to the card. The swirls are also from qk (from the sophisticate alphabet box). Papers are the same as I used for the sugar nellie fox card.

Aw look how cute that is! We have a bunch of these pups that live just a few houses away from us. She is a breeder, so they always have them around. My kids love them too.
Thank you so much for playing with us at the MMSC this week. It is such a pleasure to have you, and we hope that you will continue to play with us in the coming weeks.

What a fun and playful card with a wonderful touching story to go alone with it. I can tell you put a lot of thought in all the elements you used to put this together. The brad and the sentiment and the bone are precious. Thank you for playing the MMSC challenge this week, I look forward to seeing your wonderful creations again soon.
